- Black dogs are harder to photograph, making it difficult for shelters and rescue organizations to properly capture the essence and features of the dog.
- Black dogs are often perceived as more menacing in the media and society.
- People can have very outdated, and sometimes subconscious, superstitions and believe the color is a bad omen.
